This segmented vase is 6.25" in diameter by 9.25" tall and contains 1,969 individual pieces of wood.  The wood used is Curly Maple, Wenge, Walnut, Purpleheart, Canarywood, Redwood and Sapelle.  The original design is Tom Lohman's that I modified with differet types of wood.
